Functional Kids focuses on children and young adults. The occupations of infants include sleeping, eating and exploration of their physical, social and cultural worlds. With children the occupations added are self-maintenance, play, socialization and school.
Successful communication involves the ability to hear a message, process the information, formulate a response, initiate andmotor plan a response verbally in a socially appropriate manner. Breakdowns can occur in any of these areas.
Physical therapy treats children with medical diagnoses including torticollis, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, developmental delays, injury rehabilitation, delay in gross motor skills, concerns with decreased strength, coordination and balance, plus a variety of other diagnoses.
