Melanie received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hamline University. After graduating, she worked with children in an Autism day treatment setting for 3 years. She received her master’s degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She worked in pediatric outpatient clinics for 4 years before joining the Functional Kids team. Melanie’s areas of interest include the SOS approach to feeding, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), apraxia of speech, phonological processing disorders and early childhood language development. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
